Historical events at the World Cup: 1994 Salenko  The 2018 World Cup took place in Russia as many people know. Although Russia is the ninth most populated country in the world with a rich football tradition but they have never really impressed on an international platform specialy on big tournements, atleast not since they first competed as Russia but not as the Soviet Union in 1994. Russia had a good team at the end of the last decade, wich made it to the semi finals of the European Championship in 2008. But there performance in the World cup has been far from good. The Russians still have one very good memory and a player who is known amongst legends. His name is Oleg Salenko who shared the golden shoe with Hristo Stoichkov at the 1994 world cup in the USA. Short track speed skating  is a form of competitive  ice   speed skating . World Championships in short track speed skating have been officially held since 1981, although events held in 1976–1980 under different names have since received the status of World Championships retrospectively. The name of the competition was changed several times before it was eventually titled the " World Short Track Speed Skating Championships " in 1989; the championships are now held annually. English premium league History English premium league was founded in 1992 by the clubs in the old first league that had been operating for 104 years. First there were 22 teams in the English premium league but the season 1995 to 1996 there were only 20 teams.  The first team to win the English Premium League was Manchester United and it was managed by the red devil's legend Alex Ferguson, he managed the team from 1986 to 2013 and won total 13 Premium league titles.
