Where it all started

English premium league History

English premium league was founded in 1992 by the clubs in the old first league that had been operating for 104 years. First there were 22 teams in the English premium league but the season 1995 to 1996 there were only 20 teams.
The first team to win the English Premium League was Manchester United and it was managed by the red devil's legend Alex Ferguson, he managed the team from 1986 to 2013 and won total 13 Premium league titles.

  1. Interesting blog on the Premier League. The success of Manchester United has undoubtedly contributed to the success for the team in terms of the revenue that they bring in. As the Deloitte report says, they are first ranked in the Money League. Some of the top teams that are in the Premier League are also ranked in the top ten in the Money League which shows where a lot of the revenue of European football is concentrated. With that said, due to some of the poor recent performances by Manchester United, especially in the Champions League, will Manchester's rank in the Money League fall/change? Will Man U lose some of its fans? The fact that the Premier League has maintained such dominance over revenue streams is impressive and it does not look like it will let up any time soon.

  2. It's impressive that out of the famous six in the Premier League - Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham - that two of them actually haven't won the trophy. Especially Liverpool, where they have always been so close and with such amount of great and iconic players, with the likes of Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Xabi Alonso, Jamie Carragher etc.

It really is crazy how they haven't won it yet, and the worst thing is that even though that right now they have a great side, it seems very difficult that they will still win it whilst the team coached by Pep Guardiola still plays with such ease and with such domination against the other Premier League teams, we will see in the future what happens, but I must say that this isn't helping Liverpool gain a better prestige with this League trophy drought .

I found the history of the Premier League very curious because I didn't know it. The curious thing about the article, in my opinion, was that the Premier League has only been won by six teams in its history, and that Liverpool is not one of them.
It's also important to say that Manchester United are the team that have won the most, but right now they're in a pretty bad position to continue making history.

I'm not a football fan and that's why I don't know a lot of information related to this world. But I liked to know more about soccer and especially about the history of the premier league that from what I've read is one of the most competitive leagues in the world and in which great teams are introduced.
